Life Isn't Fair

If it were, I wouldn't be getting so much good luck. Where to start? Well, I had an absolutely wonderful holiday. (If you're considering a cruise, I thoroughly recommend Swan Hellenic

When we got back we discovered The Sphere had done an excellent job of guarding the house, writing my blog and watering the lawn (or perhaps it rained?) I skimmed through the hundreds of e-mails and found one telling me my story, Life Isn't Fair, is in the 16th July issue of The Weekly News. There was more good news on Helen's blog about Best magazine.

Good as these things are they can't compete with the fact that, as we cruised through the Swedish archipelago, the extremely lovely Gary Davies asked me to marry him. I suspect I'm going to be writing nothing but romance for quite a while.

Must stop now as I have to pop out and buy The Weekly News and Best and show off my beautiful engagement ring.

Thanks, Frances. I can post a picture, but it'll probably include me looking smug.

Kitty, thank you. It might be best to keep The Sphere at home on my big day in case it upstages me!

Thank you, Joanne.

Cheers, Dan. I'm sure the three of us will be very happy.

Helen, squishy and loved up is exactly right.

We're meant to congratulate HIM (on catching you) and to say 'I hope you'll be very happy' to you, the pre-bride. So consider all that said and done and ... uncork the champagne!

What lovely news, congratulations to you both - I know, Celia's right, but whatever!

Patsy said...

Celia, I'll tell him (again) how lucky he is! I like 'pre-bride' never heard that phrase before.

Thanks, Baggy (Celia often is right, I've noticed)
