How sweet

Oscar has awarded me the Irresistibly Sweet Blog Award (he probably made that decision before reading my last post) Oscar blogs about writing, especially writing about Westerns.

I'm supposed to tell you 7 things you might not already know about me.
1. My favourite flowers are snowdrops (that's true in January - next month it'll be aconites and crocus)
2. My favourite food is ... pretty much anything without anchovies and avocado.
3. I'm getting married this year (come on, there might be a few people who didn't already know that)
4. All my writing is done on a laptop (click here to win yourself one)
5. I'm totally rubbish at absolutely all sport (if you're sporty, or can write as though you are, try this)
6. I like going on holiday (OK, that one's no surprise, but it does give an excuse to mention this)
7. Nothing I write ever seems to come out the length I expect it to.

I also have to pass this award along to deserving recipients who, if they accept, are asked to link back here, tell us 7 things and pass the blog along to others. My nominations are -

Diane Fordham   Della Galton  Teresa Ashby  Maggie May  Petra McQueen  Linda Grimes

Frances Garrood  Grace Galton  Suzy Jones  Rosemary Gemmell and JJ Cocker oh dear, that's already more than I was supposed to pick and there are still so many other blogs that deserve this award.

Thank you so much! Not that I'm especially sweet, but it's nice that someone thinks so.

Thank you, Patsy - how sweet of you (sorry!)- and thank you for including so many great links in your answers - I love that your favourite flowers change every month x

I feel enormously honoured. Thanks. And thanks for all your hard work and wonderful links.

Linda, you're quite sweet and the camels are irrestible. :-)

Thank you, Kitty.

Teresa, it seems heartless to prefer a flower that's not in bloom over one that's doing its best to please.

Petra, trust me, I don't work hard.

Aw, that's so kind (I was going to say sweet) of you, Patsy. Thank you!

Congratulations! I enjoy watching sports, but I'm not good at them either.

Thank you very much Patsy. I enjoyed reading more about the sweet lady that makes a lot of us smile. :-)

I didn't know you were getting married. Congrats!

You're welcome, Rosemary.

Alex, I'm far far worse than 'not good'!

Thanks, Diane - but when you read stuff that makes me seem sweet, remember I'm a fiction writer ;-)

Thank you, Clarissa - especially for proving me right on that point.

Should have done this sooner, but I'm normally 'a day late and a dollar short. Thanks for all the great info., especially the contests. I've been inspired. Certainly you deserve this award.

Oh yes, definitely well-deserved!

I don't know how you find all the comps but I love your blog.

When I need a break I have a nose around - it's always fun.

PS

What impresses me is that you have so many followers - and they actually read the Blog because they comment.

Too many have non-reading followers.

Thank you so much for the award, Patsy. I'm never quite sure where to put awards, so I haven't (so far) put them anywhere. But I store them in my heart (aaaaah...)

farawayeyes, you're not late but even if you were I'd forgive you - you do have a long way to travel!

Baggy, all writers want readers, don't we? I'm lucky to have lots of people following the blog and/or commenting. I really appreciate these shows of support and try to return the favour.

Frances, I'm glad you're pleased to have it even if you don't know what to do with it. (Think maybe I should have hidden this one as it's making me hungry)

Congratulations Patsy. I can so agree with number seven. My short stories are all too long and my novels are all too short :-)

Irresistibly Sweet and very clever too, the way you tied all that together. Well done Patsy.

Thank you Patsy - I feel honoured as I am relatively new here. I absolutely HATE to moan but I can't do anything with your award as my blog still won't let me in to the comments box - is that where I should accept it? You can see how new I am at this game. Thanks anyway, and will be following you and your links.

Patsy said...

Glad it's not just me, Sarah.

Aaaw, thanks, Cowboy.

Maggie, you don't have to accept if you don't wish to, but if you do then you might like to do it as a blog post to share your 7 seven things. To get the award picture, right click on the one here, save it on your desktop, then upload into your blog post.
