Want an agent?

If you do, then 'all' you need do is win this competition. Diane Banks will the represent you for a year. A great prize and I'd love to enter, but it's only open to unpublished writers.

Darn.

I'll try and console myself with the thought it's nearly spring.

This proves how easily distracted I am! I click on your link and am engrossed in the Men of the Year bit of the site and getting really annoyed that the pics seem to be of impossibly gorgeous women ...! Where are these men?!?! LOL!

Awww thanks for the heads up to the competition!

Take care

I'm good where I'm at as an author.
And Kitty's comment made me laugh.

Love that photo!

Kitty, sometimes I think you're not 100% focussed on writing!

Alex, if you're happy then I'm happy for you! Different routes will work for different people.

Thanks, Rob.

Bother, I think that's me out too, Tosh, since my interpretation of 'professionally' means 'paid for' and therefore my womag work nudges me off the shelf.
Bah. I need a novel way to find an agent ...
Thanks anyway!

Thanks Patsy for searching out an interesting competition. I'm looking for an agent so really thinking about having a go. Only concern is do you think they're going to like really blokey stories or homages in praise of 4x4's?

Good luck to those who enter. Sounds like a great opportunity.

Wish I couldn't enter cos I'm published!

I am still unable to open my comments box on my blog even though I got your email to say you had left a message (thanks). I think we may need to update our system, so my blog might have to go on hold for a while. But still following all you other bloggers.

...good representation, where both parties strive for a common goal, can be so difficult to achieve. Will hop over and check it out ;)

Celia, that's how I intepreted it too - wasn't ever so clear though, was it?

Tracy, I can't pretend to know what they'd go for, but don't think you should feel obliged to make the story terribly blokey - might pay not to be too negative about 4x4s though!

It is a wonderful opportunity, Deborah.

Maggie, it is a nice 'problem' to have! I've heard of other people having the problem with Blogger and they've disabled comments then allowed them again and it seemed to work - worth a try?

Elliot, I'm hoping to eventually get the chance to find out.

Thanks for the link, Patsy. As you say, a great prize. I'll make sure my as yet unpublished friends pop by your blog.

Thanks, Suzanne! Appreciate that.

That's one heck of a prize. Wish I could write decent short stories that were, well, short :-)

Sarah, I often have trouble shutting myself up and sticking to the point! On the plus side, I'm getting better at cutting my work down.
