Dreaming

The lovely Rachel has given me this award (actually she gave me two but I want to eek out the gloating) The dream launcher one is because I post details of writing competitions and winning one of those could help launch your writing dreams - just as winning one is doing for me.

I'm passing this on to Womagwriter because hers was the first blog I ever followed. Her advice and the magazine guidelines and contact details she provided (and still provides) encouraged me to try submitting to markets overseas - that turned out to be a good move for me. Also without her blog for inspiration, I'm not sure I'd have started this one. Then I might not have found out about the novel competition and wouldn't have a book about to be published! Thank you, Womagwriter!

Fiction, especially the romantic type, often provides escapism in the same way daydreams do. If you'd like to help shape future dreams and win £100 of Mills and Boon books then take this survey.

If your dream is to write TV sitcoms then you definitely won't want to miss this competition and finally here's something for those of you who's minds turn to crime when given the chance.

Well deerved, Patsy, and thanks for passing it on to me! The next best thing to getting published yourself is feeling you've helped someone else in some small way. if writers don't help and inspire each other there's no hope for the world.

Patsy Please Don't Leave Us for that bloomin' BaceFook thing. I don't like it and won't do it and shall STOP FOLLOWING YOU if you defect.
I've found Atmos' cousin, by the way, lurking outside the stables just up the road. I've taken a photo of him sitting on his box. He's called Stratos.
Can't post photo here, aw shucks

Thanks, Annalisa!

Womagwriter you're right about us helping each other - doesn't seem to be any lack of that help and support among the writers I've come across. Seems most are generous as well as imaginative.

Suzy, Womag's is a great blog. I know she's helped loads of writers.

Celia, I'm not leaving - wherever else I wander to on the internet this blog is staying right here.

Can you post the picture of Stratos on your blog, or enail it to me and I'll post it here - I'd like to see him.

Hmmm, Kitty - I'm counting how many yays you give me and how many Womag gets and I'm slightly jealous :-(

Thanks, Youngman.

Thank you, Madeleine.

Well done Patsy. I have just given you a teensy mention on my blog, for being the possible person who alerted me to the tree competition.

Nice one Patsy. And thanks for the link to the BBC Writers Room comp - a writing friend is working on a sitcom right now so I've passed this on to her.

Dream it, then do it said...

You deserve it, Patsy.
I like the enlarged photograph too.
