The new all high tech me

I'm having another bash at getting to grips with technology and have set myself up a Facebook author page. That'll mean I can post all the news about 'Escape to the Country' there and maybe avoid boring you with every little detail on here. Maybe :-)

What kind of things would you like to see on an author's page? Stuff about the writer's life, or would you rather it concentrated on the book(s)?

Want to get to grips with technology yourself? How about a shiny new laptop, or a desktop computer?

Want something to read on them? Annalisa's giving away an ebook on her blog.

  1. Hi Patsy - good on you. I will wander over there. I think a bit about both would be good; the writer's life and the bookS (I do like that positive thinking ;-) I admire you Patsy. You are an inspiration! x

  4. Thanks, Diane. I'm feeling positive right now.

Thanks, Kitty. I reckon that look would suit me - wonder if Gary can do it in Photoshop?

Alex, if I find a competition for one of those I'll be sure to post it up.

  9. You're welcome, Annalisa.

    Thank you, Teresa.

Thanks, Rosemary. I expect I'll want to go on and on about the book, so I thought I should have a proper place to do that.

    Thank you, Linda.

Thanks, Frances. The wedding will be 12th July - and the cyber hen party will run for at least a week before.

  11. Don't put ALL your book details on your shiny new Facebook page, I'm looking forward to hearing about it too :-)

  12. Thanks, Suzy. If you can arrange that I'll hire you as my publicity manager! (Will be trying to get myself on local radio but that's probably ambitious enough)

Don't worry, Sarah - as soon as there's any more news I'll be announcing it absolutely everywhere I can!

Thanks for letting me know as I love to hear of people taking part in the competitions I mention and, of course, it's even better when they win.

  16. Don't forget to periodically includes links and details of where to purchase your books. I suggest you have a look at Jody Hedlund's page which is fairly well developed. If you have blog tours to talk about your books link to them on the days they appear. If you don't have blog tours you could ask your facebook friends and followers if they could feature or review your book or do author interviews.

  17. Thanks, Hilary.

Thank you for the tips, Gayle.

If anyone would like me to visit their blog or wishes to interview me or anything like that then please do let me know!
