A good look round.

How do you research a place if you can't get there? A picture might help. A 360 view would be better.

Whether you want to know what's behind the pyramids of Giza, what's in the control room of a submarine, how a Sussex wood looks when the bluebells are out, what the White Cliffs of Dover look like from the top, take a peek into a disused lime kiln or explore Herculaneum, Gary and Geoff can help.

  1. That can happen, Alex - especially if you let your mouse get up speed.

  3. Wow, those are fantastic, Patsy. It is so clever to be able to do that, but I don't have very good mouse control and now I feel seasick ;-) x

  4. There's a great big blank where the clip (?) should be. Am I meant to use my imagination, or is my iPad playing up?

  5. Frances, Gary says it's because flash files don't work on idevices. If you click on the links instead you should be able to view the images on the 360 cities website.

  7. Fantastic tip Patsy - this is a really useful tool for all writers stuck indoors with their laptops! Unfortunately could spend all day travelling the world like this too :)

    1. Tracy, it's true that it would be easy to get distracted looking at all these.

    1. It is addictive, Linda. I love looking at the places I've been too - and ones I intend to visit.
