Something to say?

A while ago the lovely Vikki awarded me the top commentors award. I must have been so busy commenting recently that I forgot to post about it! I lurve everyone who reads and comments on my blog - without you I'd just be writing to myself! Thanks to all of you.

I'm passing this on to Kitty, Alex, Annalisa, Tracy, Frances, Teresa, Suzy, Rosemary, Carol and Helen but please don't think that means I don't appreciate everyone else who stops by.

Click here for the chance to win an audio book version of Rod Stewart's autobiography. Are you A Rod Stewart fan? (Go on, you can tell me) Do you like autobiographies? How do you feel about audio books?

    1. At least with those you wouldn't mind them being done by a ghost writer!

    1. It doesn't surprise me at all to hear you've been given this before, Alex. (Is it weird that I'm picturing you doing one of those lavish, hand twirling bows?)

    1. Come to think of it, Kitty I don't listen to anything much. I wonder why not.

  7. I like biographies, and I have nothing against Rod. I'd rather watch a documentary than listen to an audiobook though. But I have friends who listen in their cars while driving to work, or on the subway while commuting, and they love it! :-)

    1. While travelling seems a good time to listen to an audio book, Lexa.

  8. Ooh congratulations, Patsy - and thank you for passing it on :-) I like autobiographies (don't think I'd fancy Rod's though) and I like audio books, but if I listen to one I tend to start doing something else and don't concentrate properly! x

  10. Hi Patsy .. Rod is not my favourite - but I admire his tenacity and ability to achieve so much ... his songs aren't bad either!! Congratulations on your award .. I love getting them but am hopeless with them - perhaps now I'll concentrate a bit more and be able to cope.

As for reading, listening etc .. that needs to get sorted this autumn! Cheers Hilary

    1. Hilary, if you find a way to help you concentrate and get done all the stuff you'd like to achieve please let me know - I could do with a few tips on that myself.

  12. Well I just had to comment didn't I! Congratulations Patsy and thanks for passing this on.
I love all of Rod Stewart's old stuff, but not sure I'd want to hear about his life. Expect football gets mentioned a bit...
I'm a big fan of audio books, but mainly non-fiction - am listening to The Entymologican right now.

    1. Being a fan of a person's music or other talent doesn't always mean we want to know all about their life, does it?

  13. I don't think I would want to listen to Rod Stewart's audio book, but in general the only place for audio books is in the car. Otherwise, there are too many distractions.

  14. You might not be a fan of Rod's, but if his song is anything to go by he's one of yours!
