Yet more free stuff.

If you write sci-fi or fantasy then this competition could win you up to $6,000. The same amount is on offer for illustrators. You won't earn so much for this one, but the winner will be paid and there's a trophy.

Can't remember if I mentioned this before (but better twice than not at all) $500 prize and a trophy.

Not a competition as such (but submitting anywhere is a competitive business) this is a paying market you might like to try.

Winning one of these books might be useful for research or just for procrastination.

Jinx Schwartz's the Texicans is free 20th - 22nd December.

  1. Thanks for the info. It was like a practice run for opening Christmas presents, guessing what would come up from the links.

    1. Hope you also took the opportunity to practise smiling delightedly and saying 'just what I wanted'?

  4. That Texan book looks good, and the others, thanks Patsy. Enjoy Christmas. I've got Mavis on my kindle now, so hoping to read that over the break.

  5. Thanks Patsy for the tip on Best Fiction - will definitely submit something there. One of my goals for new year is to cut back on competitions and focus more on paying markets such as womag and ezines etc so this one will go on the growing list to target. Best wishes for a very Merry Xmas :)
