Gross

Gross has a variety of meanings. It can describe something large, outrageous or thick bodied. Twelve dozen of anything are a gross or it can be a total without any deductions.

These tulips are fairly outrageous, but I wouldn't call them gross, would you?

They are only gross if covered in bugs!

Hi Patsy .. definitely not gross - scarlet ladies yes .. but not gross as in over the top, revolting ...

I missed seeing the tulip display at Ticehurst (Pashley Manor Garens) - I gather it was magnificent .. I must remember to take a trip up there next year ...

Tips for writers - just write?! Cheers Hilary

The states back east are going to be overwhelmed with cicadas. Like billions of them. I suppose I'd think that's gross, especially when they die and leave behind their carcasses.

The flowers are beautiful but not gross!

Writing? Well write as often as you can, about anything you can and if you can't think about anything to write about then write about that! Write about the blank page that you can't think of what to write upon it and then write about your view of that! Like anything else the more you do if it the better you shall become but most of all enjoy it because if you don't, it will always read as the chore it was written...

I enjoyed that even if it doesn't make sense lol
Now I have to take my own advice and battle that blank page... ;)

'Scarlet ladies' - I like that.

I've not been to Pashley Manor gardens but I've just googled and it looks wonderful.

The carcasses bit certainly sounds gross, Micheal.

Thank you, Edith.

It does make sense and sounds like good advice, Lynn.

And I was expecting to see something gross as in terrible or far out.

Tulips are far from gross, but they give me hayfever. Wouldn't mind two lips now and again, but the bulb variety will do for now.

Love the Purple frock you're wearing over on Valance's porch by the way.

What are you up to on Valance's porch Patsy? Giving him tulip advice by the look of those, they're simply gorgeous. Love the colour.

Patsy said...

Thanks, JJ and Suzy.

What I get up to on the porch is strictly between me and the cowboy. ;-)

Sorry, Oscar I missed your comment. I was probably in shock that you could think such a thing of me.
