Happy New Year!

This is the traditional time for looking back and making plans for the future. I like a bit of tradition ...

I became a full time writer part way through 2013 (following redundancy). I'm really enjoying it and have put more time and effort into my writing and it seems to be paying off. I could do better though and that's my aim for 2014.

How was 2013 for you?

Do you have any plans for 2014? I hope the New Year opens the door to all kinds of possibilities and success for you.

If you are thinking of reading more, learning about, or are a simply a fan of, Shakespeare then this free online course might appeal.

Maybe you'd rather write for the BBC?

  1. Happy New Year, Patsy. How about you, me and Tracy having a meet up in 2014? My 2013 round up is on my blog so I won't bore you with it here.

    1. The meet up sounds like an excellent idea. I vote for a venue which serves cake.

  2. Happy New Year to you, too, Patsy. Am looking forward to hearing and seeing more of your writing in 2014. Thanks for the links - I've just registered for the Shakespeare on-line course and looked at the details of the writing for the BBC link.

    1. You're right, Alex - I am living the dream. Not sure how it'll work out, but I'm very lucky to be able to give it a go.

      Good luck with that mss.

  4. Happy New Year Patsy. I think I'm going to aim to write more and try not to be blogging, tweeting and on facebook quite so much. I had to join fb for work earlier in the year, then got made redundant. After some competition saying we had to have a platform, I became more internet busy. Now I feel that I want to get back to the writing.

    1. It is easy to spend a lot of time on the internet without realising it, Suzy. Interaction with others is good, but we need to leave ourselves some writing time.

    1. I unsubscribed from a lot of newsletters as I couldn't keep up with reading them all, but maybe I should sign up for that one again.
