Yes! Yes! Yes!

It was lovely to meet up with writer friend Karen Jones, for the first time in about five years, recently. We talked a lot, ate hardly any cake and then headed off to an art gallery near Glasgow Cathedral.

Karen left us just before we went into the cathedral, maybe that was to be expected from the author of The Upside Down Jesus?

The post title refers to the two 'yes' rallies Gary and I somehow ended up in the middle of both before and after meeting Karen.

  1. I'm longing to know what kind of cake it was that you ate hardly any of? I hope it was chocolate.

    1. It was chocolate, Frances - and very nice too. (Gary had lemon drizzle and Karen had carrot)

  2. Hi Patsy ... all I can say is I'm so pleased the others won ... and we're still Brits.

Fantastic you were able to meet up with Karen - and what a great title for a book .. even if she left you at the Cathedral gate ...

Bet you're having an amazing time ... cheers Hilary

  3. So they voted against closing the border - that means you'll be able to come home without a slew of injections and being searched for contraband Scotch!

    1. We'll be OK with that, Lizy - although it'll still be hard to leave such a lovely place.

    1. Yep, hardly any at all. Mere crumbs really.

    1. The merest hint of chocolate, lemon drizzle and carrot ... but that was between the three of us.
