Are you serious?

I'm not really a very serious person in general (had you noticed?) but I'm serious about my writing and do have plans and ambitions. How about you? Do you take parts of your life seriously?

Those who have serious writing ambitions and have had at least one story published can try this competition. The prize is £1,000.

Here's me with my dad's puppy Willow. She's seriously cute and hasn't she grown? The other dog is Bramble and she belongs to my step mum. Bramble isn't a pup (although she thinks she is).

  1. Great looking pup! Does Bramble keep her in order or do they get each other into trouble?

    1. I suspect they egg each other on, Robert.

  2. If you had lifted Willow up another couple of inches, then that would have been a seriously scary picture!

    1. That was as high as I could go - she's heavier than she looks.

  3. I try not to take myself too seriously, but certain things (like my writing career and my day-job business) I take dead serious. Although I still like having fun while doing those.

    1. Good. Now you know how I feel!!!!

I would like another dog, but we're away so much it wouldn't be fair and it would rarely be practical to take one with us.

(NO ONE has ever taken me seriously.)

    1. You're allowed a short break from the seriousness, Rosemary. I'm sure I read that in the rules somewhere.

  10. Bramble and Willow are adorable. I'd love to have a dog, but with two cats, I don't need any more pets.
I read Not A Drop to Drink through a Good Reads Reading Group and loved it. I can understand the need to save water. Where I live is in a drought condition and we're limited to the amount of water we are allowed each month.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.

  11. Two cats is probably enough to keep you busy, Beverly.

Sorry about the drought. I get fed up with our rain sometimes when we get too much, but not getting any would be worse.
