Skimming stones

A place on a writing workshop at the Listovel festival is part of the prize in this short story competition. I'm not sure I'd be able to get to Ireland at the appropriate time if I won, but I like the prompt so much I think I'll enter anyway.

Here's where I'm setting my entry.

  1. What a fantastic inspirational setting, Patsy. So much could happen there - I wonder if frolicking in the dunes will take place or a dead body is found in the long grass. Wishing you lots of fun with that one. Thank you for sharing the comp. All the best.

  2. Watch someone from Australia win - they'd really be challenged to get there.

  3. I wish I could walk right up that dune. Good luck on entering!

  4. Great picture, Patsy. All those footsteps in the sand and every one belongs to someone with their own story.

  5. Those sand-dunes look a little bleak, though perhaps that's just my cold toes talking! Ireland, eh? My daughter's just bought a cottage there . . .

Oh, and if you want to get rid of the captcha you can make your comments embedded and it goes! I did that on my blog.

  6. I've never been to Ireland - maybe I should take a look at this one.

  7. Hi Patsy,

What an awesome location for the setting of your entry. All the best and have fun.

Oh, you can ignore the verification bit. Don't have to type in the text to comment. Still, how dare they do that.

    Gary :)

  8. @ Nicola - does seem the kind of place almost anything might happen.

@Alex True, but we shared part of our trip to Ireland with Aussie friends, so it can be done.

Thanks so much for commenting!
