The Beeb. That made me chuckle.
Then it was worth posting!
I don't think I can write something interesting that quickly. :)
They're annual competitions, so you have loads of time for the next one!
If only I was a speedy writer. ;)
Or had something you'd prepared earlier?
best of luck to those entering!
Thanks, Donna - I'm going to have a try.
You're welcome, Oscar.
I don't have anything around that length... :-( Thank you for sharing though, I'll send a link from your blog to writing buddies.
Please do, Maria.
I don't think I could be that quick right now, but wow, nice prize.
Isn't it just?
Not sure what that translates into dollars on my side of the pond, but that certainly seems like a lot of moolah!
It's a decent chunk of change, Leandra.
Got my entry in for Opening Lines at the w/e. Phew. That was early for me ...But may give the National Short Story a miss - all the shortlist in 2014 were big names so I'm not there's any point of entering this one
Well done for geting one in. I know what you mean about the big names - but I'm still going to enter.
I'm waiting for the day I qualify for the National Short Story Prize - my publisher is small and American, and if I remember correctly from the rules, that's not good enough. I have a story that might fit the Opening Lines one, but it's destined elsewhere... unless I change my mind in the next couple of days!
Thanks so much for commenting!
