I won!!!

I knew if I entered enough competitions I'd eventually win another one ... My winning story is in the May issue of Writing Magazine (part of Writing Magazine) There are competitions every month which are free for subscribers (and some with entry fees)

Look what the judge said! (Don't worry about the mention of common sense - that's the character, not me)

Anyone else won anything or had other writerly good news recently?

  19. Well done, Patsy (again!)
I didn't realise you've 'taken over' at WomagWriter, I'd better nip across and re-acquaint myself with it, cos I've not been over there for years.
About 10 years ago I got shortlisted a total of 11 times in those comps and never got any closer and haven't had a bash since about 2010. All those stories have now since been published by the womag market, so nothing was ever wasted!
Keep up the good work, lass!
