Weekly poetry competition

There's good news and bad news with this one. Bad news is there's no prize. Good news is the competition is weekly, free to enter and offers the (voluntary) possibility of your work being published in a book.

I was struggling to find an illustration for this one until I remembered poetry can be about absolutely anything. These are rhubarb forcers. Good luck with that.

  1. are rhubarb forcers anything like galactic enforcers?

  2. Alex and Mac, rhubarb is a tricky beast - it can't be trusted to do the right thing itself and has to be forced into submission. Some people consider gardening a safe, relaxing past time, but those people have never come up against a rhubarb plant on the rampage.

One rhubarb forcer accidentally flipped his lid
There were 8 rhubarb forcers standing by the wall

  5. Rhubarb forcers sound fascinating. Wonder what they're for. (Other than forcing rhubarbs to do stuff they obviously don't want to do on their own.)

    1. That is all they're for, Misha - although some people have them just to look pretty.

  6. Weekly comp! It's difficult to do one a month. Maybe I need a poem enforcer. We never heard of rhubarb enforcers, it grew wild in our area.

    1. We could tie you to your desk with rhyming couplets, Oscar. Do you think that would help?
