At sixes

Thanks to Heather for finding this competition. You only have to write six sentences. The prize is a  Writer's Bureau short story and novel writing course, so I reckon it has to be worth a try.

Something else that's worth a try is getting a phone signal in deepest, darkest Devon. Here's my lovely husband giving it a go.

Hooray - that impressively tenuous link brings this to six sentences!

  1. Yes phone signals! It's terrible at the moment, even got round to putting an external aerial on the van but they have really let the network suffer since last year😞

    1. Oh dear - you'd think it'd get better not worse, wouldn't you?

  2. Getting a phone signal can be difficult at times, getting 3g is nearly impossible where I live and having just got 4g I suspect it will be even worse lol. I have done the writers bureau it's very good and helped me a lot. I live in Cornwall so next door to Devon. Do you live there or are you just visiting?

    1. I was just visiting the area, but as we have friends and family there we go down ... I was going to say quite often but this was our first visit in a year so that's not really true.

  3. I did think that was a statue at first, but now I know it wasn't! :D
The search for a phone signal is still one of those things you spend too much time doing on holidays, Patsy.

    1. It's just the competition I'm trying - but if I am lucky enough to win, I will indeed give a report!
