Caravans and charabancs

For this short story competition, you're asked for 300 words on the magic of travelling by caravan or charabanc. First prize is a £500 voucher for a coach tour. Runners up get book tokens.

I wonder if I could adapt one of my experiences in R'ten, our camper van?

  1. Charabanc wasn't in my old dictionary. I had to go to my fairly new Webster's to read the definition - a sight-seeing bus. But thanks for the link. I wouldn't be able to collect, if I won the prize, so I'll move on.

    1. It's an old fashioned word, Oscar. I don't think anyone still refers to tour busses this way in normal conversation.
