D.W.L.

Sorry, I've not given you much notice for this short story competition. You may use any theme though, so perhaps you could submit something you prepared earlier?

The winner "will receive the annual Dastaan Award worth PKR 50,000 (approx. USD 500)". I'm not sure what that is in pounds, but I expect it's a worthwhile amount.

btw, if anyone has a question for The Weekly News fiction editor Jill Finlay, they can ask it here.

  1. Is it just me, Patsy, or is the link not working?

    1. Sorry - one link was wrong. Should be OK now.

      Thanks for pointing it out.

  2. I thought that was DWI at first glance. I can write while intoxicated, maybe, but driving is out of the question. The previous winners in the comp are quite literary in their writing it seems. I would like to give it a go, but not this year.

  3. Yes, the previous winning stories did seem to be literary - my style is rather different. I'm having a try though. What's the wrort which could happen?
