Story in a teacup

There are three competitions here - One for flash fiction, one for under 16s and one for short stories. The themes are Emerald Mountain, Swirling Mist, Moonlight Jasmine or Green Gaucho. The prizes are excellent (£2,500 for the main competition)

Only UK resident, non professional fiction writers may enter.

  1. Thank you, Patsy - I'm going to try and get some under 16s to go in for this :-) xx

    1. That might keep them quiet for a little while, Teresa - if you're very lucky.

    1. That's my drinking tea at the computer cup, Suzy. I'm less likely to spill it on the computer than I would be with a mug.

  4. They are great prizes, but they are defining professional as ever having been paid a fee for published work. (Comp wins are OK, though). So that rules a lot of people out.

    1. It did seem a strange definition of professional, Sherri. Wish one sale really did earn enough for us to give up the day job.
