Well done, Patsy. I've noticed that lots of writers wear a scarf- think it's a secret code so we can recognise each other. :))
I like scarves and have loads but rarely wear them. This seemed the perfect time to do something about that.
I've taken to writing poetry lately so was very keen to read yours. I thought it was excellent. I loved the way you ended each verse with a very short rhyming word. Great assonance too. Well done.
Aaw, thanks, Maggie. I have to bung in a few rhymes somewhere - I'm never quite sure it's actually a poem without them.
Well done, Patsy. I don't do poetry either. Maybe I should try my pen at verse.
Why not, Charlie? It's just playing about with words.
What a superb poem, Patsy, and well-deserving of a place in the anthology. I have a drawer full of scarves so it must be because I'm a poet too!
Must be, Liz - unleash the limericks!
Well done, Patsy, on success in poetry as well as many other writing genres. And you do look the part - think the glasses help too.
I'll make a note that they're my poet glasses, Tracy. (I've got purple ones somewhere - I'll have to try them at the next writerly event)
Hi Patsy - well done on the inclusion in the new anthology ... they are always so useful to have around to dip into. Love the look too ... cheers Hilary
Thanks, Hilary. There's an interesting variety of work in this one.
Congratulations, Patsy. It's lovely - very moving xx
Thank you, Teresa.
being selected ALWAYS nice ;O)
It is, Mac.
Congratulations, Patsy. I am loving the poetic disguise :)
It's good, isn't it, Nicola - who knew scarves were so versatile?
Thanks so much for commenting!
