A fortnight to go

There's still a couple of weeks before the Commonwealth Writer's competition closes. That's not long enough to qualify as a citizen if you happen to have been born elsewhere, but it might be enough time to polish a story if you do qualify.

The prize for each region is £2,500 with £5,000 for the overall winner.

    1. This would be an excellent one to win, Hilary. I have sent off an entry, which should give me a slightly better chance than last year, when I forgot.

  2. Perhaps, if I start now, I might just make the deadline for next year ...

  4. I've entered this a couple of times, but I always think it's one of those comps where you need to have a 'worthy' theme - and I've got nothing this year :-(

    1. You could well be right, Annalisa. The winners don't seem to write the kind of lightweight fluff I usually come up with.
