Bag a prize.

Erewash Writers are running a short story competition, with a bag as a prize. Rather a nice bag,  made by the Dorset Bag lady, which looks like it would be useful for carrying books.

Years ago I won a bag in a writing competition. The handle looks as though it's about to give way, so I'm hoping to win a replacement.

In case you've been wondering - the photo shows part of Dorset and the snowy tree a few posts back is a mulberry.

  1. Ah, a mulberry. That had me stumped - unlike the beautiful tree. I think I entered an Erewash comp. a couple of years ago. Might have another go. Do I need another bag, no. Do I want another bag, of course. Thanks for posting.

    1. Mulberries are lovely trees - the fruit is nice too, if you have the right kind (I do)

  3. Hi Patsy - the Dorset coastline is just wonderful; thanks for telling us about the Mulberry - I might remember in future.

Good luck with your quest for a new book bag - cheers Hilary

  4. Now I must have a go at that I'm a bagaholic. And you can never have too many bags or boots. Thanks for the link, Patsy. A mulberry tree? I'd never have guessed that.

  5. I was going to say that, unlike Susan, I'm not a bagaholic, and I'm not looking for any more bags at the moment. But I had a quick look at the Dorset Bag Lady's wares and she has got some lovely designs, hasn't she? So I might have a go ...

  6. I think my family is from the Dorset area. Nice photo. Would try for it if the bag was full of moola.
