Undulatory

Undulatory is a great word, isn't it? It means undulating or wavy, or due to undulation. And undulation means a wavy motion or a gentle rise and fall.

There are days when my hair is as undulatory as this wave lapping gently against the breakwater.

Careful, Patsy, or your hair will be really frizzy from undulating. Nice Pic, too!

Oh yes, that is a great word. I don't think my hair has ever managed to do that though! :)

A lovely word - almost onomatopoeia (and I always have to look up the spelling of that word!). My hair undulates too, always in the wrong direction (or all directions).

Thank you for making me chuckle at the thought of your undulatory hair. (btw my spell check doesn't like this word!)

It's OK if you say it slowly enough, Mac.

I hope it comes in useful, Henry.

That does sometimes happen, Oscar.

Mine only stops if extreme force, heat, patience and some kind of sticky substance are used, Susan.

So you look different when going left to right from your appearance when going right to left, Teresa?

Patsy said...

Mine does it in so many directions, the right one is usually involved to some extent, Frances.

Spell checkers often need educating, Wendy. I've taught mine a few new words.

Yes I'm afraid I do! xx
