IWSG - June

June already! That means it's IWSG time.

There are a lot of emotions connected with writing fizzing away inside of me at the moment. Insecurity is in the mix, but largely drowned out by the others.

There's excitement over a potential new project, optimism about that and my short stories. Anticipation of trips away in the van (my mobile office) where I hope to meet up with some of my writing buddies.  There's also a touch of doubt that I'm going to fit in everything this summer.

I'd much rather be busy than bored though, so it's mostly good. How about you?

  1. Hope all your plans for the summer become a reality for you. I love being busy but there are times when I want to do nothing but read. As for boredom, I don't like it at all.

Busy people get things done. You'll have a very productive summer.

  5. Oh I hate being bored. That's one of the worst things anyone can do to me. I wish I could commune with nature endlessly, but that only last a little bit. Then, I need more. I like how busy you sound, Patsy. Keep it up!

    1. Yes, the writing set up is sorted, Hilary, so I have no excuse not to produce plenty of words.

  12. A new project? Sounds intriguing.
I can't remember the last time I was bored - probably years ago when I was working for money not love. These days I just get frustrated at not having enough hours in the day for all the things I want to do!

    1. I've had some boring 'proper' jobs too, Linda. Don't miss that aspect of being employed.
