Another writer's home

We're still on our travels - which is partly why I've not been online as much as usual. The other reason is that I've been busy writing, but I'm having trouble convincing people of that one ...

Anyway, here are some photo's of Rudyard Kipling's home.

That is his actual (reassuringly untidy) desk.

  2. What a great house to visit. The outside is too cool. Almost like he was living in the jungle.

  3. Was that Bateman's you were visiting? I've never been but my husband and daughter have.

    1. Apparently the piles of scrap paper aren't quite accurate as he destroyed them.

  10. It always puzzles me why being untidy is a virtue. Just saying.

    1. I don't think it's actually a virtue, Maggie. I just find it reassuring that tidyness isn't an essential quality for a writer - as it's not one of my strong points.

  11. Hi human, Patsy,

Have fun on your travels. Rudyard's house is very nice. My humans and I live about three miles away from Rudyard Lake. Rudyard was named after the lake because his parents loved the location so much.

    Pawsitive wishes,

    Penny!
