Guilty?

Thanks to Anne Rainbow for passing on the details of this opportunity.

Mslexia are looking for poems or stories about heinous or illegal acts - but as usual they only want work by women writers. They pay £25.

I'm nowhere near as saintly as Cuthbert, but Anne obviously has a good opinion of me as she reckons this would be a challenge...

Oh, maybe she was referring to keeping the word count down to 2,200 words?

  1. Heinous or illegal acts? I'd be nervous what those women might come up with...

    1. You're right to be nervous, I suspect, Alex.

  2. Hi Patsy - women only who've had illegal doings or made heinous acts ... not kind! Not worth £25 though ... I pale quietly into insignificance near any Saint!! Cheers Hilary

    1. As they claim to be the most widely read writing magazine you'd think they could offer a little more, wouldn't you? Still, at least they do pay - lots of places don't.

  3. Thanks for the tip. I'd love to get my teeth into that topic :) But the payment is quite low. I would have thought Mslexia was established enough now to pay its writers more.
