Ungulate

Ungulate means hoofed. An ungulate is a hoofed animal - and a good enough excuse for gratuitous cute animal pictures.

Hi Patsy - it is a great word ... then I see you get odd-toed ones, and even-toed ungulates .... who knew! It amazes me how much has evolved over time ... even feet to be able to do what's needed with them ... cheers Hilary

I'm glad the word wasn't undulate. I'd never get to see the photos. I used to ungulate around the block.
