I'm rooting for you.

Thanks to Tracy Fells for bringing this free to enter, weekly flash fiction competition to my attention.

There's a new prompt each week and the winners of the best 150 word story get free entry into the Bath Flash Fiction competition, which offers a £1,000 prize.

It sounds a great competition but if 'flash queen' Tracy enters, there's no hope for the rest of us!

That's one fat carrot.

You've grown one carrot?

That carrot is certainly excelling, or is it some other exotic vegetable? :D

It's certainly not like any carrot I've ever grown. It looks more like an elongated turnip. A good pic for a "what is it?" competition maybe.

I think you're right, Wendy - they don't mention a second prize. Could you do us all a favour and nick her pen next time the two of you meet for buns?

Patsy said...

Actually it isn't, Alex.

Patsy said...

No and no.

Have you ever seen a carrot with leaves like that, Carol?

Patsy said...

You're right that it isn't a carrot, Gail. Not a turnip either. You're narrowing it down.

Thanks for the mention, Patsy. Now I like the pen name: Flash Queen, might pinch that. Actually it's a tough one to win with >60 longlisted each week. Warning: it's also addictive, once you've entered then you keep coming back each week, well it is free.

Thanks, Tracy - I'll consider myself warned!

No, but you might be growing a mutant carrot strain. :D

Is it a sweet potato?

No. Good try though.
