Happy New Year!

With regard to writing (and several other things) 2016 was a pretty good year for me. I've continued to sell to magazines and released two short story collections – Through The Garden Gate and No Family Secrets. My biggest achievement was co- writing From Story Idea to Reader, which was published just over a month ago.

I have lots of plans for 2017. To help with the writing ones I have a lovely new task notebook. I've been keeping one of these for a while now. In it, I write down all the small steps which, when accomplished, result in stories, articles and even whole books being written and published.

Whatever your goals and plans for 2017, and whatever method you adopt to help you achieve them, I wish you a very Happy New Year.

Happy New Notebook Day... Um, I mean Happy New Year... (although, I could swear I've said this to you already... the joys of many social media accounts lol)

Happy New Year, Annalisa – I'm sure I've already said it to you too, but an extra dose of happiness won't hurt.

A "Task Notebook" - sounds much more exciting than the old writer's journal! Happy New Year, Patsy! Wishing you much success in 2017 :-)

The best bit is crossing things off, Fay.

Well done on such a successful 2016. I hope 2017 proves equally favourable to you and your writing plans. Maybe, just maybe, we might get the chance to meet up this year if our paths cross whilst on our respective travels.

Happy New Year, Patsy, and well done on all of your achievements last year. The notebook is gorgeous, and I hope it helps you reach all of your goals in 2017 :)

The best bit about using them is we can buy more, Rosemary.

I hope you're finding it useful, Keith.

You can see why I couldn't resist, I'm sure.

I hope we can too.

It'll help me enjoy trying, anyway!

Damn! All I have is a Poundland A5 diary. I'm gunna get me some glitter! Contradictory though; I never have been a glam girl.

Happy New Year, Patsy. Love the idea of a task notebook. I've always got a couplke of notebooks on the go - for different writing projects.

Patsy said...

You don't need glitter, Paige - just make your words sparkle!

Patsy said...

Considering I very rarely do any actual writing by hand, I seem to need quite a lot of notebooks, Jan.
