Younker

Younker is a very old term for a youngster. Here's a picture of me when I was a younker.

Despite the evidence, I don't actually feel old enough to have been in black and white.

Aww! You were very cute - and I've learned a new word to boot. :)

You can tell it's you! If it makes you feel better, all my childhood photos are in black and white, and my teenage ones too!

I wasn't too bad as a toddler, but I was a hideous baby!

I had really yellow hair when I was little, Hilary. Now it's a bit more unpredictable.

Haven't heard that word before, I quite like it. Maybe it'll see a revival along with lots of other old fashioned words when people get fed up of 'text speak' which I hate!

There are lots of good old fasioned words which I'd like to see revived - perhaps we should start that off, by using them at every opportunity?
