An
idyll is a simple, happy and peaceful situation or period of time, or picturesque scene or incident. Often they're rustic, rural or romantic (or all three). It can also mean a poem or other artwork which describes something so
idyllic. Some of the places we visit with our van are
idyllically suited to my becoming an
idyllist.

Hi Patsy - that is idyllic ... stunning looking garden ... cheers Hilary
Rustic, rural, and romantic. I picture a log cabin in the mountains. One with all the amenities, of course. (Because an outhouse is just not romantic.)
I love that word and its meaning. I think we should all head over to Alex's idyllic log cabin.
...someplace you can idle around idyllically
Love sitting dreaming in idylls by the sea!
Wagner composed the Siegfried Idyll as a birthday gift for his wife. Let's hope she thought it was an idyllic pressie.
That picture looks like the perfect idyll. :)
Ah, yes, the happy places of life.
Lovely isn't it, Hilary? It's Mottisfont Abbey, in Hampshire.
Sounds good to me, Mac - or I could swap the cabin for our van. That way I'd be sure to have all the amenities I needed.
As long as it has wi-fi, Nicola!
That's just what we need, Mac.
Oh me too, Rosemary - and you have some lovely ones up your way.
It's certainly a romantic gesture, Christine.
It's a gorgeous place, Linda. I hope to go back soon.
Indeed, Oscar. We all need them, don't we?
