Wild and free

The prizes for this non-fiction writing competition include publication and some amazing trips through the wilderness of India. You're asked to write 500 to 1,000 words on one of the following –

  • Narrate an account of an experience in your life that brought you closer to nature.

    (OR)
  • Write a short piece on your ideal utopia and some of the things you would find there.

    (OR)
  • Write an informational piece on something that we could all adopt to live a happier, healthier life - whether it’s an ideology, dietary improvements or physical activity!

  • You may include photos, drawings or a video, but whatever you do, you need to do it fast as entries close on 16th December.

My little wildflower meadow is my personal utopia and I expect to find lots of flowers, bees, butterflies and other creatures there.

I'll be featuring a new free to enter writing competition every day from now until the winter solstice.

Hi Patsy - it always looks amazing ... and must be lovely to quietly sit amongst. Great competition to enter ... just that the 16th is full of things going on and thus time to that date ... good luck to all who enter. Cheers Hilary

@ Hilary – I do love sitting in my garden – and I know what you mean about not having time to do everything.
