How do you feel about books which sometimes stray off the main point? Do you enjoy the excursion, or prefer to stay on track?
The photos are from one of our excursions in the van – I'm not digressing from the writing theme of this blog by posting them, as I'm writing a story set in this location.
If you won the $1,000 prize in this free to enter writing competition, you could afford a lovely excursion – where would you go?
Thanks, Patsy. May well have a go at this!

I'm afraid, despite the free entry and high prize, it's this that puts me off: 'The winner must sing an affadavit of eligibility, a liability release and publicity release.'
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't know where to get these things from, so it's not for me!
Sorry, I meant sign, not sing!
ReplyDeleteBut it wouldn't surprise me if they wanted the winner to sing it too!
@ Alyson – good luck if you do.
ReplyDelete@ Sharon – I didn't notice your typo until you pointed it out! I'd assumed that as with contracts for published stories, the paperwork would be provided for the author to sign – I could be wrong though.
Love that valley!
ReplyDeleteI like my trains to stay on the track.
ReplyDelete(I'm reporting that for a friend)
@ Liz – if I remember correctly, it's in Falmouth.
ReplyDelete@ Mac – Your friend is very sensible.
