Today's Wednesday word of the week comes from the wonderfully talented** Gary Davies*, of Maritime Photgraphic. He described this ferry as looking refulgent in her new livery.
Refulgent means 'shining brightly' or 'gloriously bright'. Do you think it's apt in this case?
*My husband.
**No, I'm not after anything ... this time!

With the sun on it, it's certainly bright.
Thought I knew this word from Gilbert & Sullivan's "The Sun Whose Rays Are All Ablaze" from the Mikado, but turns out that's 'effulgent'. Not sure what the difference (if any) is....?

Glad to learn a new word. And yes, it's bright.

Yes it is bright. Great to discover a new word, but I doubt I could use it in conversation. :D
