Poppyfield Farm

Poppyfield Farm is my current work in progress. It'll have romantic elements, humour and quite a bit about animals, particularly horses. I'll be dedicating the book to my dad - only partly because he's a farmer who drives horses and is being very helpful with some of the research.

Phil is the male lead. He's a jolly successful computer games writer (not nasty gory ones) He's not so good at anything else, including relationships. Actually he's got a bit of a commitment issue.

This is is horse, called Copenhagen.

Rachel loves horses and singing. She's good with horses. Phil loves Rachel. No one but Greg seems to realise this.

Greg is Phil's best friend. He's also the owner of Poppyfield Farm and a bit eccentric. Maybe even a lot eccentric.

Phil has a sister called Lizzie. She's married to Joe and has a stepdaughter called Clara. They're all quite normal most of the time.

There are dachshunds all over the place.

I'm currently about half way through the first draft.

Thanks, Suzy. There's a long way still to go, but I am working on it.

Look forward to reading it, Patsy. The main character in my novel-in-progress is called Clara. It was one of my Nana's names and I just love it!

Thanks, Jan. I know a little girl called Klara - maybe that's where I got the namr from.
