Evince means to reveal the presence of a quality or feeling, or to make clear and plain. I believe this photo of our front garden evinces my love of flowers.
Evincing is also a word, evinced by its presence in my dictionary.
That's a word that isn't used enough! I know you've posted about loads more contests since then, but I've got a story idea together for the Commonwealth Prize you posted about last month. Now I merely need to write it before the deadline.

There's a nice ring to the word "evince" but can't say I've heard it used much recently. Maybe you will be leading a revival, Patsy.
