Evince means to reveal the presence of a quality or feeling, or to make clear and plain. I believe this photo of our front garden evinces my love of flowers.
Evincing is also a word, evinced by its presence in my dictionary.
That's a word that isn't used enough! I know you've posted about loads more contests since then, but I've got a story idea together for the Commonwealth Prize you posted about last month. Now I merely need to write it before the deadline.

I bet the flutterbys love you
Hi Patsy - I must congratulate you on your border ... looks amazing and I am evinced by it! Cheers Hilary
The photo evinces the fact that you have green fingers. I'm convinced that is evinced.
This is a new word to me! And gorgeous flowers. I just can't seem to keep anything well-watered...
Haven't heard that one. Beautiful flowers!
Wonderful word - never heard of it before. Wonderful garden too - wish mine looked liked that!
Great word but I think I would be too afraid to use it. Maybe more examples necessary :) Hope you are having a great week.
I've never used the word "evince" in my writing before but now I want to. :)
We've had a few more than usual this year, Mac. (Haven't heard them called that in years!)
Thanks, Hilary. That was taken in the spring, but it's not bad now.
Gardening is one of my enthusiasms, Christine.
I garden in England, Leandra - watering isn't a problem for most of the year.
It's not a word I've used in anger, Crystal.
I spend my time there when I should be writing.
Not sure I'll use it either, Nicola - but sometimes I surprise myself.
Hope you fit it in somewhere, Chrys.

No more evincing evidence than the photograph.
What a fabulous front garden. Beautiful!
There's a nice ring to the word "evince" but can't say I've heard it used much recently. Maybe you will be leading a revival, Patsy.
Glad you're evinced of that, Oscar!
Thanks, Maggie.
Maybe - there are other words even more worthy of a revival though, I think.
'Con'-vince is also a word. I am convinced that you are a lot more green-fingered than me, Patsy!
Helen
Can't stop looking at your beautiful garden - bursting with colour xx
I've always liked gardening, Helen.
It's not unknown for people walking by to stop and have a look, Teresa.
Good luck, Nick!
